Meet Kate Race
Kate has over 25 years of experience in care for seniors and their families. Her grandfathers were her inspiration – when she was 17, she moved in with one of her grandfathers with dementia to be his caregiver.
Dementia care and education are a personal passion, and she spent 14 years at Atria Summit Hills Senior Living as their Memory Care Director, where she managed a staff of 25.
Her passion is not confined to the workplace – about a decade ago, she began volunteering with the Alzheimer’s Association. She currently enjoys running three of their support groups. She is also heavily involved with Giving Voice, a nonprofit dedicated to providing programming for those with memory loss and their families. A PAC certified dementia trainer, Kate has used her personal and professional experience to help thousands of families.
